“42” with Linc Hand

42Alabama Native, Linc Hand featured in “42”

Linc Hand a young, talented actor has guest starred in various television shows including Justified, 90210, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Prime Suspect, True Blood, Southland and more. He also appears as Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Fritz Ostermueller in the movie “42” about Jackie Robinson’s first year in major league baseball which debuts this month. (See photo at right)

Birmingham, Alabama born and raised Linc Hand gravitated to acting at the early age of 5 when he appeared in national commercials with his Mom’s advertising agency for Sunshine Puppy Food. With a family heritage of entertainers that included Elvis Presley, it was no surprise that entertaining was in his genes.

His love of sports and his athletic talent drew the attention early on of a local modeling scout who cast Linc in local as well as national print ads. He later headed west to Hollywood where he began studying under legendary acting coach, Howard Fine.

Linc’s confidence and determination has led to numerous national commercials as well as other feature films Linc-Pitcherlike “Bling Ring” directed by academy award winning director Sofia Coppola, “Goodbye World” and has a new pilot in development. Linc’s talents are also recognized by television executives as he is a favorite among television producers in guest appearances. Linc is also the Audience Producer and a Recurring skit performer for ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Linc is very proud to have a scholarship for acting in his name from his hometown Corner High School to help benefit young actors and actresses. Linc says, “Dreams can come true if you find a way to do hard things.” He also is an Alumni of The University of North Alabama.
